Quietly, Na slipped thru the gates of the ancient city. She made her way past all the shops, their lights darkened. She hesistaed in front of Merlins house, but deciding that her cover wouldn't hold, Na rushed along to Ansem's old study.
Blending into the shadows, Na assesed whether it would be safer to be in the open or stay hidden. Taking her chances, she ran across the byway, and almost collided with the door that led to the interior of Ansem's retreat. As noislessly as possible, she once again slipped in unnoticed.
"That was too easy...."
Unfortunately, there was someone already there. A black-cloaked someone with blonde hair and orange eyes. He stayed as concealed as he could, which was pretty hidden. He watched her, making sure not to make a single sound.
Na made her way down the halls, stopping only to open the ornate door. She walked into the still trashed study, frowning. "I guess the Queen hasn't been here yet...."
Shojx observed from where he was. He tilted his head. "Queen?" he asked himself quietly.
"Did I go too far back?" she mumbled to herself. Looking around some more, she noticed the writing that was left on the wall. "Weird... didn't he have paper?"
His eyes widened. "Uh oh..." he whispered. Before he knew it, he was falling right in front of Na and landing on his back. Hard. "Ow..." he groaned, wincing.
She flinched, recovered, and summoned her keyblades. "You have ten seconds to tell me who you are before I destroy you."
He got up, a bit slowly. "Name's Shojx. I won't hurt you," he said, backing up a bit.
"Same can't be said for me." She brought Sol up, ready to strike. "You're an Orginization member. That means you're the enemy."
His face flushed but recovered. "I'm not such a bad guy, once you get to know me," he protested, eyeing Sol.
She brought Luna into striking position. "I don't think I'd care to get to know you." Eying her surroundings, Na steadied herself. "How long have you been spying on me?"
"Not very long..." he stepped back even more. He reached into his coat, but found nothing. "That...jerk! He took all my weapons!" he muttered to himself, glaring slightly.
Na smiled. "I won't strike an opponent who can't defend himself. You better run now, or I'll change my mind."
"I...can't," he said, looking down. "I was given orders, and I can't screw up now, or I'll be punished. Severely."
She blushed a little. Damn it, why do depressed boys look so cute....?!
"Uh... well, as long as you don't try to stop me, I'll let you do your little thing."
He looked up and smiled. "That's great! Thanks!"
"You're welcome... I guess...."
Na walked past him and started looking thru the mess on the floor.
"Are you looking for something? Maybe I can help?" he suggested, watching her.
"As I've said, you do your thing, and I'll do mine." She kept looking thru one pile, then went to another. "And you probably haven't heard of what I'm looking for anyways."
He shrugged. "Whatever," he said, and looked at her again. "Hey, have you heard of someone named Mira?"
Na froze. "Mira?" She looked up at him, eyes wide. "Is she in this world?"
He shrugged. "I dunno. Xemnas just said to watch for her... who is she?"
"She's... the person I'm looking for. No one important, really, just someone I need to protect." Na replied, trying to make Mira sound unimportant.
He frowned. "Then...either you or Xemnas are lying. He said it was vital to find her." he shrugged.
She went back to her search, glancing at him now and then. "We may be talking about different people with the same name then. It is pretty common."
He laughed slightly. "Probably. I'm not too worried, though." He crossed his arms and looked into the hallway.
"Are... you expecting her to show up here?" Na quietly replied, slowly standing up. "Or are you waiting for someone else?"
"Nah. I just have to survey this place and keep an eye on things..." he shook his head. "I always get the dull jobs. It's 'cause I'm the youngest!"
Na muffled a giggle. "Well, you're doing a fine job keeping an eye on things. Now, if you would excuse me, I think I know where my friend is."
He grinned at her. "That's good!"
"I guess I might see you again someday." She turned and left, making sure to close the door behind herself. When she was sure that he coudln't see her anymore, she withdrew a green gem, using it to call on a portal to another world. "Please wait for me, your Majesty."
